Ian Larsen was born on an Air Force Base in Lakenheath, England. Soon after he moved to Texas and grew up in Plano, just north of Dallas.
In 1995, Ian had the opportunity to join TwoRows as a member of the opening team at the original Greenville Ave location. Interested in the brewing operations, he soon started his apprenticeship.
After less than a year of apprenticing in the brewery and waiting tables on the side, Ian had earned the position of Assistant Brewer. In December of 1996, Ian moved to Houston to open the Rice Village location. Shortly after opening he was promoted to Brewmaster.
Under his leadership, he has expanded the Houston location from 6 beers on tap to 10. Including a Barley Wine, and seasonal beers as well as the staple brews available in all locations. His first big successful recipe, the “Dos Rows Vienna Lager” is one of the top selling beers on tap.
In addition to hosting the “Brewmaster Dinner” and giving tours, he contributes to the community through donations and special events.
When not busy making great beer, Ian enjoys spending time with his family. He likes to travel with an emphasis on rock climbing and mountain biking. He always manages to find his way back to the brewery.
